With the increased effort on the airline to charge for everything, making sure you luggage is not overweight is vital. This scale alows you to easily weigh you bags before departure and if necessary, challenge the weight at the check-in counter.
While there are mechanical scales available, this one seems to be a much better choice as it has a higher capacity and clear digital readout.

I should have invested in this a while ago instead of "guesstimating" the weight of the luggage! It is small, easy to use and accurate. The weight readings at home always match the readings at the airport. It is small enough to pack in the luggage for the return journey. Friends and family have borrowed it and ended up buying their own.

This scale really comes in handy. Tested it on my daughter's luggage and the weights were spot on between it and the airport scale. Small enough to take on thr trip for the return flight.
